Security settings
Password, two-step verification, app lock, encryption, sessions, the security log and sign out everywhere — all in one tab.
Account → Security is about the login — the property's safety lives in Protect.
| Section | What it does |

| Password | Change it. In an encrypted account this also re-seals your key; the recovery key is unaffected. |
| Two-step verification | Enrol an authenticator app and save the ten recovery codes it gives you. Manage shows how many codes remain and can issue a new set. Strongly recommended. |
| App lock | Lock instead of signing out, Require biometrics only, Lock after. See App lock and sessions. |
| Encryption | Turn end-to-end encryption on or off, rotate the key, regenerate the recovery key, see which members and firms hold a sealed copy. See Encryption. |
| Sessions and activity | Every device signed in, with Sign out everywhere. |
| Security log | Dated record of sign-ins, password and key events, access grants and revocations. |
Three things to do on the day you get your account: enrol two-step verification, store your recovery key if you enable encryption, and check that app lock is on for every device you install the app on.
