The plan

Where every asset goes: allocation to people and trusts, disposition — retain, transfer, sell, donate — and instructions for the executor.

Estate → Plan is three independent decisions for each asset. An asset can have any combination; the readiness score counts the ones that have all three.

Allocation — who receives it

Assign each asset (or a whole collection) to an heir or a trust. Distribution modes cover the usual shapes: a single recipient, equal shares among several, or specified percentages. The plan shows the total allocated to each person and trust, what is still Unassigned, and the computed value of each share so an uneven split is visible before it is a surprise.

Recompute offers two ways to let Storehouses do the assigning, and they are different. Rebalance adjusts: it keeps the plan as it is, brings values up to date, places anything new, and moves only the few assignments needed to bring each heir back to target. Use it when values have drifted. Auto-allocate starts over: every unlocked asset is reassigned from scratch to fill each heir to target, so assets may change hands. Use it for a first pass or a fresh plan. Both leave locked rows exactly where they are, and both show what will move before anything is applied.

Allocation is versioned: finalising it stamps the version, and later edits start a new one, so an executor can see what was intended and when.

Disposition — what should happen to it

A sale with a preferred house can become a real auction submission from Marketplace when the time comes; a donation's documents (the deed of gift, the institution's letter) attach to the asset.

Instructions — what the executor should know

Free text per asset, per collection and for the estate as a whole: where the keys are, who the specialist is, what must not be sold, what the piece meant. Encrypted when the account is encrypted. Exported in the Portfolio PDF when the plan is included.

Sharing the plan

Share with advisor gives a connected attorney or advisor the plan read-only; Export plan produces it as a document. Both respect the plan's state — draft · shared · current — shown in the Estate sub-line.

The plan is practical guidance for your executor and your attorney. It is not a will and does not change who legally inherits what. Make sure the two agree.
