Auctions
Submitting assets to an auction house, tracking the submission to a consignment and a result, and recording what came back.
Marketplace is one space for assets leaving, arriving or being worked on. It is not a marketplace to browse: you are always looking at your own assets. Three tabs, three counterparties — Auctions (auction houses), Storefront (your own store) and Services (the Storehouses Wealth Partners team).
Submissions and consignments
A submission is property sent to a house for consideration. A consignment is property the house has accepted and taken in. A submission is promoted to a consignment, never renamed, and each has its own tab.
There are no integrations with auction houses. Every estimate, acceptance, decline and sale detail is recorded by you, and any screen showing house data says so. Nothing is ever sent to a house by Storehouses.
Making a submission
Share & Export → Auction submission (or Marketplace → Auctions → Consign an asset) opens the workflow:
House
Sotheby's, Christie's, Phillips, Bonhams, or another house by name.
Scope
Selected assets, a collection, an ensemble or a board's zone. The readiness card tells you how many of them carry what a specialist expects — photography, provenance, dimensions, condition — with a Resolve link for each gap.
Type
Initial review — indicative estimates, a lighter package, values withheld by default. Consignment file — full documentation, condition, provenance and your reserve expectation.
What the house will see
Your Storehouses estimate, acquisition price and date, purchase source, detailed location (otherwise city only), supporting documents — each off by default on an initial review.
Package
Collection overview PDF, asset manifest (XLSX and CSV), one sheet per asset, images and documents, and a secure review link that expires in 30 days, can be revoked, and allows no download.
Generate package creates a draft submission in Marketplace → Auctions. Nothing is sent until you mark it as sent.
Tracking it
Each submission has Overview, Assets, Documents and Activity tabs. Record the house's response per asset — estimate low and high, accepted or declined, the specialist, the proposed sale and date — and the submission moves through draft · sent · under review · decided. Accepted assets become a consignment with reserve, sale, and eventually hammer price and net proceeds.
Results write back
A recorded result writes the sale price, date and house to the asset's valuation history and closes the consignment. If the asset was sold, record the disposition and it leaves your totals while its record stays.
Value vocabulary
Six distinct figures, never merged: your Storehouses estimate, the house's low and high, the reserve, the hammer price and net proceeds.
