Share links
A link to a collection or an asset, for someone who does not need an account: password, expiry, view limit, read-only or editable.
A share link shows a collection or a single asset to anyone who has the link — an insurer, a buyer, a family member without a login. The viewer needs no Storehouses account.
Creating one
From a collection or an asset: Share → Create link. Choose:
- Name — so you recognise it in the list ("For the insurer, March").
- Password — optional. Enter a password, or allow anyone with the link.
- Expires — a date, or never.
- View limit — the link stops working after a number of views.
- Can view / can edit — editable links let the recipient change the record; use with care.
The link is created and copied. Every link also has a QR code for sharing in person.
What a viewer sees
The collection or asset, its photographs and records, at the visibility you chose for the link. You can withhold values, acquisition details, exact locations and documents from a link just as you can from a member. Sample assets never appear.
Managing links
Share & Export → Share links lists every link — collection links and asset links — with who created it, when, when it expires, how many times it has been viewed and when it was last opened. Edit, copy or delete any of them. Deleting a link stops it immediately.
Shared with me lists the links other people have sent you.
Encrypted accounts
A share link from an encrypted account carries its own key, inside the link itself, in a part of the address that is never sent to any server. The snapshot it shows is stored encrypted; only someone holding the link can read it. Rotating your account key invalidates every outstanding link by design.
Audit
Creating, opening and deleting a link are written to the audit trail, and the access alert family can tell you when a link is used.
Advisors and the Overview
One login, many accounts: how an advisor, a family office or a household manager works across every account they belong to.
End-to-end encryption
Turn it on and the sensitive parts of your records are encrypted on your device before they reach us. What it covers, the recovery key, sharing, and what cannot be undone.
