For firms
Getting a firm set up: the agreement, the portal, your team, and connecting your first clients.
The agreement
Firms are onboarded by agreement like every Storehouses customer — book a demo. Your firm account and its first owner login are created when the agreement is in place.
Your team
Portal → Team → invite colleagues. Roles: Owner (everything, including billing and the firm's encryption key), Admin (clients, team, integrations), Manager (assigned clients only), Viewer (read-only on assigned clients). Managers see only the clients assigned to them.
Encryption for the firm
Set up the firm's key once (Portal → Settings → Encryption). Clients with encrypted accounts can only connect to a firm that has it; the first client to try is told so.
Connect clients
Portal → Clients → Request. Enter the client's email; they receive a request in their app and in email, choose what the firm may do, and approve. A client without a Storehouses account yet can be set up by us — ask your account manager — or invited through the client-side provisioning flow.
Work
Open a client to see their collections and assets at the permission level they granted, run reports, record verifications on their behalf, and — where allowed — edit records. Everything is logged against the team member who did it.
Day to day
- Suspend a client relationship to pause access without ending it; reactivate to resume. Revoke ends it, and for an encrypted client destroys the firm's copy of the key.
- Reports produce the same portfolio PDF and manifests the client could, for one client or the whole book.
- Audit logs are the firm's record for compliance: who opened what, when, and what changed.
Branding
A firm can have the app under its own brand and domain for its clients — see Private label.
