Insurance

Policies, what they cover, where the cover falls short, and the pack a broker asks for.

Policies

Protect → Insurance lists your policies. Each records the provider, policy number, the location it covers (blanket cover by location is the common case), the limit, any per-asset sub-limit, the renewal date, whether the declarations page is on file, and notes. Attach the policy document itself and it appears here and on every asset it covers.

Add a policy records one you already hold. Add my broker connects a broker as a professional so they can be sent the pack directly. See Professionals.

Coverage, computed

Storehouses compares what you own with what you insured:

  • Insured value against estimated value per location — the bar on the Insurance tab and the pillar card.
  • Uninsured locations — assets stored somewhere no policy covers.
  • Coverage gaps — an asset whose estimate has grown past the schedule, or past a per-asset sub-limit so that it should be named on the policy.
  • Renewals — the next renewal date, and an alert as it approaches.

Each gap is a row in Protect's attention list, and on the asset page the Insured for figure says policy · covered or policy · $X under.

The insurance pack

Share & Export → Insurance pack produces what a broker or insurer asks for: the schedule of assets with values and the evidence behind them, photographs, appraisals and certificates, grouped by location. Produce it for the whole account or one policy's location. See Exports.

Alerts that belong here

An asset grows more than X% past its insured value, A policy renews within N days, and An asset is named on a policy because it exceeds the sub-limit are all alerts you can turn on in Alerts.
