Ensembles
Arrangements that cut across collections — a set, a vertical, a series, a look — where one asset can belong to many.
An ensemble is an arrangement of assets that belong together for a reason other than storage: a dining service, a complete run of a series, a "look" you would show together, a vertical of vintages from one producer. Unlike a collection, an asset can sit in as many ensembles as you like.
Making one
Assets → Ensembles → New ensemble. Name it, describe what it is for, then add assets from the picker or drag them in. An ensemble shows the assets it contains, their combined value and how many it is missing if it is defined as a set with a known size.
Using ensembles
- Boards can end by making an ensemble from a zone — the decision becomes an arrangement.
- An ensemble has its own page and appears under Where this asset appears on each of its assets.
- Exports can be scoped to an ensemble, so an insurer or a buyer sees exactly the group you mean.
Ensembles do not affect totals: an asset counted twice in two ensembles is still counted once in Portfolio.
