Search and filter

Two different jobs: search finds anything in the account and takes you there; filter narrows the list in front of you.

Search — ⌘K

Press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows) anywhere, or use Search in the sidebar, to open the palette. Type to search across assets, collections, locations, documents, policies, people and pages; results are grouped, with the best match first. Before you type, the palette shows what you opened recently, pages to jump to, and actions — Add asset, Upload document, Scan a tag. Type > to see actions only.

  • ↑ ↓ move, ↵ opens, Tab jumps between groups, Esc closes.
  • "See all" on a group opens that list with the filter pre-filled.

On a phone, the magnifier in the top bar opens the same palette full-screen.

Filter — /

Every list page — Assets, Collections, Ensembles, Locations, Documents, Heirs, submissions — has a filter field first in its toolbar. Press / to focus it. It narrows the list in place as you type, highlights the matches, and tells you how many ("18 of 1,888 assets match"). The query is kept in the page address, so a filtered view can be bookmarked or sent to a colleague, and Back restores it.

Alongside the field: Add filter (category, collection, location, value range, verification state, insurance state, drafts only), a grid/list toggle and a sort — newest, oldest, highest value, lowest value, title.

Boards and Today

Boards has no filter field — location chips do that job, and ⌘K covers search. Today shows what needs you; it is not a list to filter.
