Today and Boards
Where the app opens — Today on a phone, Boards on a desktop — and how Boards turn a collection into decisions.
Today (phone)
On a phone the app opens on Today: a greeting, what was added this week, what needs attention (coverage gaps, re-verification due, uninsured locations, alerts that fired), drafts waiting for confirmation, your boards, and the Capture and Look-up shortcuts. It is the morning page — enough to know whether anything needs you.
Boards (desktop)
On a desktop the app opens on Boards. A board is one named decision — "Winter rotation 2027", "Sell at the spring sale", "Kate's share" — and a canvas on which your assets are arranged into zones you draw and name: "Living room wall", "Stay in the vault", "Not decided". Counts and values are computed from what you put in each zone. A board ends in an action: make an ensemble, move assets to a location, start an auction submission, or mark an allocation in the estate plan.
The index never starts empty
- Where everything is is generated from your locations — one zone per location, every asset placed. It is never stored; delete it and it comes back.
- Three boards are made for you on day one from your real data: Needs attention (uninsured, re-check due, appraisal aged), Most valuable and Added this year. After that they are yours to edit.
- Or start from a question — four prompts, each generating a populated board.
Working on a board
Drag assets from the rail (filter, pinned, highest value, whole collections) onto the canvas or into a zone. A new board arrives with three zones — Keep where it is · Move · Not decided — and zone labels are editable inline. Covers are always your own asset photographs; there is no placeholder art anywhere in Boards.
